Khuda ki Basti has come a long way

I stumbled upon these videos while researching my thesis at uni on low-cost housing to address urban migration in Lahore...

Can't wait to one day go over and help him out in the developments.

God Bless

Saqib

Oh man this is AMAZING.

I commend your brother for being an awesome person, haha never thought anybody could be more amazing then BrNaeem, guess again kid, BrNaeem's Br. lol.

Wow, so does he actually BUILD the housing development thing physically? This is so interesting. I've always wanted to do something like this, in Palestine, but being Pakistani, I think it would make sense If I joined this program when I get older. :D. This is truly amazing.

Haha, your brother seems like a beautiful person if has sacrificed so much to do that, if your better, your must be amazing. Lol.

Man, I'm gonna spread the word about this! Never heard of anything like this!

@Anon, "you guys kinda look alike lol."

Kindly get a clue before you insult the blog author. :-P

@MK, "if your better, your must be amazing."

" and since I have nothing else to write about. :-) "

Good deeds and kind works speak louder than words bro Naeem :)

Many blessings for your bro and for you as well for bringing his good works to light. May Allahtallah keep him and his family safe, sound and strong, Ameen.
There are many deserving souls who rarely get recognized, and so its up to you and fellow bloggers to highlight these humanitarian heros- even if you're impartial @ times :) How fortunate to have a family member who gives rather than receives, Mashallah.
NGOs such as these are what will keep Pakistan's lifeline alive and give immense hope to those who had none before. Mega Kudos to all who serve so selflessly.
BTW- maybe some of your fellow saudis could learn a lesson or 2 from such gracious programs? After all as wealthy as those sheiks are, poverty is still a serious social issue- even in oil rich KSA :(

@UmmOsman, you're too kind with your compliments. While my brother and sister perform real work, my blog cannot be characterized as such. Just ask my wife! :-)

@Anon, thank you for the kind words. About Saudi, I've considered such a project, but the dynamics here are completely different. For one, they don't have much of a squatting issue. People aren't setting up shack-homes in open areas. Secondly, culture and pride would prevent them for ever consider taking such an option (ie. low-income housing).

Nonetheless, your point is valid. The impoverished in KSA could benefit so much from the crumbs of the wealthy.
