When I read the story below, I felt it was special enough to revive my Good News Post series.
The Christian Science Monitor has this excellent article covering Judge Khouloud el-Faqeeh who is the very first Qadiyah (female judge) in Palestine.
While there are many female judges all over the Muslim world, she is believed to be one of the first female judges for Shariah-based courts.
Now, I wonder if the same people who sensationalized the case of the singular Saudi judge who condoned slapping of the wife are going to overplay this story in a similar manner?
I don't think so.
I wonder why.

Oh of course Western MSM will ignore this news; or if they do cover it, they'll cover it in such a way as to claim that she's been "brainwashed" to condone her own and other Muslimahs' oppression in Islam/Astaghfirullah!
Didn't you know? Women who somehow seem to be okay with Islam are brainwashed by you and me, the male Muslim populace, or her dad. Definitely her dad.
AA- Anon,
I wasn't even referring to the MSM (they're actions are completely predictable). I was actually talking about so many fellow Muslims who made such a ruckus with that Saudi judge story.
@ Naeem
Yeah that's even worse if Muslims don't publicize this much. But I think it's because most media in the Muslim world is controlled by stupid petty puppet rulers so I doubt they would want the rest of the Ummah to know that there are Muslims actively studying and implementing Shariah. That would be a challenge to their illegitimate rule.
